Who I am

I’m a designer and maker with a strong curiosity for how ideas take shape across different materials, tools, and disciplines. Creating is at the core of what I do—whether that means experimenting with fabrics, writing code, building objects, or exploring visual and artistic expression.

I grew up in the north of the Netherlands, where making and problem-solving were a natural part of daily life. That mindset stayed with me and continues to guide my work today. I’m drawn to learning by doing: testing ideas, combining techniques, and letting different disciplines influence one another. I enjoy moving between digital and physical processes, from programming and graphic design to woodworking, laser cutting, 3D printing, and product development.

Rather than focusing on one medium, I see versatility as a strength. Each project becomes an opportunity to explore something new, refine a skill, or connect unexpected techniques. Some days that means designing something functional; other days it’s purely experimental or artistic. All of it is part of the same creative drive.

Outside of my work, I find inspiration in being outdoors and slowing down. I enjoy hiking, spending time in nature, and sharing my days with animals. When I’m not making things with my hands, I’m often reading fantasy books, enjoying music or building worlds in a different way—as the dungeon master for Dungeons & Dragons, where storytelling, improvisation, and creativity come together around the table.

This balance between making, exploring, and storytelling shapes both my work and the way I approach new ideas.
